WIKIPEDIA BATTLE
Two of the cinema cubes were shifted to the Woburn Research Centre to stage an afternoon long Wikipedia Battle. The notion of a Wikipedia battle derives from the more popular YouTube battle; the rules are as follows: two seemingly unrelated topics are chosen and the aim is to get from the Wikipedia page of the first to that of the second using only the blue wiki links. If a player is completely stuck, one use of the 'random article' link is permitted per battle. Any use of external links results in disqualification. The winner is the contestant that reaches the second designated subject first.
At Woburn the head-to-head battles took place in one cube, and the display of the computers were projected side-by-side in the second cube. The space in between was for the audience or for players waiting their turn. Scores were written onto the back wall of the cardboard cube housing the two laptops. Some of the subjects used in the battles were: from 'Earthworm Jim' to 'Air Bed'; 'Hammerhead Shark' to 'Ewan McGregor'; 'Star Fruit' to 'Corrugated Cardboard'; and 'Pontius Pilate' to 'Cumulonimbus Clouds'
