POP UP CINEMA
A temporary cinema was built for a basement media studio. The 3.5 x 6.5 x 2.5 meter (approx.) structure is modular - made of three connected, equal sized boxes - and clad in cardboard, featuring air-beds to lie on and an illuminated screen providing a red glow around the edges of the projection. Screenings for the cinema included: an afternoon of students' video and film work (Tuesday 10th March) and a programme of London related films (including the 1967 film The London Nobody Knows, narrated by James Mason, and The Regina Monologues, an episode of The Simpsons featuring Tony Blair, which sees Homer get imprisoned in the Tower of London as a result of crashing into the Queen's carriage while on vacation in the capital).
The Cinema structure was later taken down to Woburn Research Centre where it was dismantled and reassembled into another structure holding the 'Wikipedia Battle' event.
